Willa's Wild Life is a Canadian-American animated television series that first aired on ABC2 in 2008, then YTV on Monday, January 12, 2009, and finally, Qubo on October 26, 2009. The show is based on Dan Yaccarino's book An Octopus Followed Me Home. It's about a 9-year-old girl named Willa, who has a giraffe, two elephants, an alligator, and many more exotic animals as pets.
Premise
When there's Willa, there is a way! Willa often finds herself in hilarious situations that only seem to escalate as she fumbles through solutions. But thanks to her loving and patient father, and her extended family of personality-rich zoo animals, Willa manages to overcome her obstacles, learn a little something, and have a great time along the way!
Trivia
- At the end of each episode, there's a made-for-Qubo segment where Willa recaps what happened in the episode and it's moral.
- This show was initially going to be shown on Discovery Kids (which ironically, had a block on NBC until Qubo debuted) before Nelvana signed it to Qubo.
