Qubo launched on September 15, 2006 by the introduction of a daytime block on i: Independent Television (now Ion Television), which initially aired on Friday afternoons. At launch, its programming included the first-run animated series Dragon (distributed by Scholastic) and Jane and the Dragon (produced by Corus subsidiary Nelvana), along with VeggieTales and its spinoffs 3-2-1 Penguins! and Larryboy: The Cartoon Adventures (produced by Classic Media subsidiary Big Idea) – marking the first time that VeggieTales had ever been broadcast as a television program. At the time of launch, every show on the Ion block was a repeat of the NBC/Telemundo block.
Former Programming:
BOLD means the show also aired on the NBC/Telemundo block.
Trivia
- Qubo on i has the least found footage of all Qubo blocks. 5 promos and 2 IDs are all that have resurfaced.
- Qubo on ION from 2007-2008 is equally as rare. A recording of 3-2-1 Penguins/Larryboy Stories, 2 IDs, a promo and a next bumper are all that have resurfaced.
