Larryboy: The Cartoon Adventures is an American animated children's direct-to-video series which is a spin-off of the CGI-animated series VeggieTales created by Big Idea Entertainment. The first episode was released on March 16, 2002. The last video in the series was released on June 10, 2003, as it was affected by Big Idea's bankruptcy. Unlike its predecessor, VeggieTales, Larryboy was animated in Adobe Flash.
Premise
The series revolves around Larry's superhero alter-ego Larryboy as he tries to manage his life as a superhero while working as a janitor for the Daily Bumble newspaper in Bumblyburg.
Trivia
- When Qubo launched as a block on NBC, i: Independent Television and Telemundo, this show alternated with 3-2-1 Penguins! (and was promoted on-air as 3-2-1 Penguins and Larryboy Stories).
- This is the first spin-off show to air on Qubo, a lot of other spin-off series of existing Qubo programs would air later on, including Guess with Jess, Babar and the Adventures of Badou and The Magic School Bus Rides Again.
- This is the only Qubo series with the lowest amount of episodes.
